The dating iceberg is a layered chart of dating and pickup lore, from folk clichés above the waterline to in-jokes at the bottom. The version this encyclopedia uses as an index is the Wingman.live dating_iceberg_v2 image (and the matching sorted list): ten layers, with thumbnail jokes in the margin.^[1]

The first six layers are mostly jokes — things aunts, TikTok, and 2005 forums say. They are not this wiki's method. Real pages live underneath the punchline: calibration, qualification, push-pull, direct game, the Newbie assignment. Layers 7–10 mix more in-jokes with a few real terms. This page is a map, not a doctrine.

Sister encyclopedia for appearance slang on the chart (looksmaxxing, mewing, bone-smashing, gaitmaxxing, jestermaxxing): that material belongs there, not here.

How to read it

7–8	Deep ice	In-jokes plus a few real ideas (self-qualification, frame mystique)	Real terms resolve. "Converting to Mormonism" does not get a method page.
9–10	Floor	Wingman in-jokes, mystic frames, "there is no game"	Index only. wingman.live is the product, not an article of faith.

Layer 1–2 (folk / pop)

"Just be yourself" is true only after you have a self that can hold eye contact and leave — which is why the assignment exists. "Be a good listener" is rapport without attraction. "Do favors" is neediness. Honesty and humor are real; they are not a pickup school.

Pop slang already in the glossary: Situationship, Breadcrumbing, Love Bombing, Attachment Styles, The Ick, The Friend Zone, Ghosting. Those pages stay. They are not Mystery Method.

Layer 3–4 (jargon comes in)

This is where the chart stops being an aunt and starts being a forum.

Anxiety and volume: Approach anxiety, Cold approach, learn to take rejection as attitude not a page.
Diagnostics: Indicator of interest, Shit test, One-itis, Logistics.
Channels: Daygame, Social circle game, Number close.
Mystery-era tools: Negging, Peacocking, Isolation, False time constraint, Kino, Push-pull, Spinning Plates, Social proof, Frame.
Folk still leaking in: "assholes get the girl," "tech guys don't get laid," "women love tall guys" — claims, not leads. Looks and height belong on the sister wiki when they are anatomy.

Layer 5–6 (named technique plus joke)

Real: Agree and amplify, Auto-rejection, Disqualification, Inner game, Preselection, Cat string theory, The Cube, Sarging, DHV, State pumping, Time bridge, Venue transition, compliance ladder, Abundance Mentality, Dread game, Fractionation, Congruence, Over-gaming.

Jokes / sister wiki: gaitmaxxing, mewing, jestermaxxing, looksmaxxing, welfaremaxxing, Chad/Stacy, passport bros, monk mode, "girls are silly and cute." Do not build technique pages on those.

Layer 7–10 (in-jokes)

A few resolve:

Inducing self-qualification → Self-qualification / Qualification (pickup).
Silence is a shit test → Shit test.
NLP vibe-coding → NLP (pickup).
She fell for the frame → Frame (seduction).

The rest (Frame Grail, Roombāna, cursed gait, quantum attraction mapping, you were the wingman all along) stays on this page as folklore. wingman.live is the product funnel, not a mystery school.

This wiki's view

An iceberg is a joke format. The encyclopedia underneath it is not. If a phrase is a named technique with a history, it gets a page with sources. If it is "be nice to her," it stays here so nobody has to pretend it is Chase Amante.
