The ick is pop slang for a sudden visceral drop in attraction — a smell, a sentence, a vibe. In practice: you cannot negotiate it (desire cannot be negotiated). On your side, neediness and incongruence manufacture icks. On hers, walk; don't cross-examine.[1][2]
