An approach is walking up to a woman you do not already know and starting an interaction. In this encyclopedia's gold-standard school — Girls Chase / Skilled Seducer — it is not optional flavor. Chase's line is blunt: if you want dates, you approach. Waiting to be opened like a movie spy is a myth. Even Bond walks over. [1][2] The Newbie assignment is a graded approach program: observation and body first, then "hi," then a real direct open, then a number.
House account
- Attractiveness fundamentals make the walk-up cheaper. They do not replace it.
- Approach anxiety is normal. It is trained down by volume, not by more reading. See approach addiction.
- Default open, once you can say hello, is genuine interest stated (statement of intent / direct game). Mystery-style indirect game is a club tool for noisy groups.
- Do not spam-approach. A bad "you're pretty" with no conversation and an instant number-ask is what Skilled Seducer calls neo-direct. Direct is not a substitute for talking.
- Some women throw approach walls (the old word is bitch shield). That is often anti-stalker armor, not a verdict on you. Calibrate; do not plead.
Street cold approach, four stages
Girls Chase contributor Francesco Toggianini described the inner arc a man actually lives, from never walking up to doing it as a habit. The point for this wiki: outer game follows a decision, and the decision is proven only in action. The Newbie assignment is the beginner form of that loop.
Mystery-era
Club game treated the approach as opening a set with an opener, often indirect, often with a false time constraint. That jargon is historical. The house open is still: walk up, talk, state intent when you can do it slowly.
