Disqualification (DQ) is playfully placing yourself out of the suitor slot so the conversation is not an interview. Mystery-era pickup used it as the clean cousin of a neg: you are not chasing, so she can stop defending.[1][2]
On this wiki the lead is Girls Chase: you have a life and somewhere to be. The line is a joke. The substance is outcome independence.
Method
A calibrated DQ is about the situation ('I can only stay a minute,' 'you are trouble') not about her looks. It overlaps false time constraint and takeaway. After attraction, you still have to qualify her — DQ is not a substitute for standards.
Other schools
Mystery used DQ to open 10s without supplicating. RSD recast it as vibe. London daygame uses a real time constraint more than a theatrical DQ.
Failure mode
