Never explain, never justify is iceberg jargon for not putting your frame on trial. A shit test that becomes a dissertation is you leaving the lead. In practice: one calm line, or agree and amplify, then lead. You can still be a decent human. This is not 'never apologize for being a jerk.'[1][2]
Method
- When she probes ('are you hitting on me?'), don't litigate. Amplify or agree and move.
- If you actually stepped on her, a short sorry and a change of beat is congruence, not weakness.
- Do not write a manifesto in the texts.
Failure mode
Using NENJ to dodge a real apology. Or explaining for six minutes why your joke was funny.
