Agree and amplify (A&A) is a shit test reply: you agree with the jab and exaggerate it until it is a joke instead of a trial. It is the stock RSD/Mystery-era answer to "do you say that to all the girls?" — "only the cute ones, and I have a quota." [1]
Chase Amante's school still wants you to hear the test. It does not want you to live inside a bit. Calibration decides whether A&A is wit or a man who cannot be serious.
Method
Agree with the literal frame, overplay it, move on. Do not argue the premise. Do not explain the joke.
Failure mode
Amplifying into cruelty, or A&A on a serious bid ('are you actually married?'). Not every question is a shit test.
