Cat string theory

From Seduction Wiki

Cat string theory
Field Pickup
Also known as cat string, string theory (pickup)
Origin Mystery Method
Related Push-pull; Takeaway (pickup); Bait, hook, reel, release

Cat string theory is Mystery-era slang for the same claim as push-pull and the takeaway: a cat chases the string that moves away and ignores the string in its face.[1][2]

This wiki records the metaphor. The house reading is ordinary: have somewhere to be, tease, do not sit in her lap all night. It is not a license to yo-yo someone as a hobby.

Method

Leave, or look like leaving, after the set has hooked. Short version is a roll-off. Long version is actually going to another venue.

Failure mode

Drama takes, fake jealousy, disappearing as punishment. That is not a string. That is a tantrum.
