Opener (pickup)

From Seduction Wiki

Opener
Field Pickup
Also known as opening, the open

An opener is the first thing you say or do to start a set. Schools fight about this more than it deserves. [1]

  • Indirect — situational, opinion, fake question ("Do you know if this line is for the upstairs bar?"). Mystery-era default in loud clubs.
  • Direct — state the intent ("I thought you were cute and came to meet you"). Chase Amante's assignment installs this by day 7–12.
  • Situational — comment on the shared world, then pivot. Common in daygame.

The open's job is to start a conversation without leaking need. It is not the seduction. Beginners over-invest in lines; the assignment's day 4 is just "hi."
