Cocky funny is David DeAngelo's phrase for teasing from ease: a little arrogance, a little joke, no supplication. It is the 2000s commercial name for what this wiki's house school just calls teasing plus outcome independence.[1]
It is not negging. Negs target her. Cocky-funny targets the frame ('of course you like me, I am a problem'). Failure mode: cocky without funny, which is just being a dick.
