Build intrigue, not familiarity means she should want the next beat, not already have your CV. In practice: that is show, don't tell plus a life. It is not being a closed book for its own sake. Authenticity still requires you be something — intrigue without a self is just withholding.[1][2]
Method
- Do not dump job, salary, itinerary in the first five minutes.
- Seed a real thing (a place, a story) and cash it later.
- Answer some questions. A man with no facts is not intriguing. He is empty.
Failure mode
Mysterious mute. Or the résumé dump. Both miss.
