Role reversal is the house readout that the book title names: she invests, she suggests the next beat, she chases a little. You qualify instead of auditioning. It is a result, not a hypnosis trick.[1][2]

Mystery A3 was one mechanical version (she DHVs herself). Chase's version is the book title: make her chase by being chaseable, not by starving her of warmth. Withholding basic warmth to "make her chase" is a freeze-out costume on neediness.
