Don't be a friend is folk wording for: if you want her, don't spend six weeks as unpaid company. House pages: sexualization early, attraction before comfort, direct game. You can be warm. Warm plus no intent is a résumé for the friend zone.[1][2][3]
Method
- Intent she can see in the first conversation.
- Don't become the 2 a.m. therapist.
- If it is already platonic, you probably start over with someone else rather than 'confessing' after a year.
Failure mode
Being cold to avoid being a friend. That's just unpleasant. Intent is not cruelty.
