Investment is her putting something scarce into the interaction: time, a story, a venue change, a text she did not have to send. Later pickup writing treats it as the thermometer after spark — not a trick, a readout.[1][1]
Method
After there is some spark, get her to spend:
- Ask things that make her talk (a story, a preference, a fork: "this bar or the quieter one"). Then shut up. That is qualification working.
- Give her a hoop that is a move, not a quiz: walk with you, pick the next venue, text a time. Compliance is "hold this." Investment is her using time or motion.
- Reward the spend (attention, a tease, the next lead). Do not dump a résumé because she smiled. That is you investing.
Hook point is when she starts treating you as the scene. Mystery A3 forced this with screening questions. Chase wants standards plus a life she might chase into. See How to Make Girls Chase and role reversal.
Failure mode
Counting drink-holds as investment. Counting your own résumé as hers. Asking her to invest before there is attraction — needy qualifying in reverse.
