Investment is her putting something scarce into the interaction: time, a story, a venue change, a text she did not have to send. Girls Chase treats it as the thermometer after spark — not a trick, a readout.[1][2]

House split:

  • Compliance is a yes to a small ask (hold this, step over here). Cheap.
  • Investment is her spending. She argues a point, she follows to the next bar, she tells you why she liked the last city she lived in. That is closer to qualification working.
  • Hook point is the moment she stops treating you as interruption and starts treating you as the scene.

Mystery's A3 is one historical machine for forcing investment with screening questions. Chase's version is less quiz, more: have a life, have standards, give her a reason to chase a bit, watch whether she actually does. See How to Make Girls Chase.

Failure mode

Counting drink-holds as investment. Counting your own résumé as her investment. Asking her to invest before there is attraction — that is needy qualifying in reverse.
