Challenging
Chess pieces
Chess pieces (Commons). Challenging is a point of view, not a dominance contest.
Field Pickup
Also known as challenge her, pushback
Origin Girls Chase / inner-game schools
Related Teasing; Qualification (pickup); Shit test; Agree and amplify; Congruence

Challenging is not rolling over: you disagree, you tease the frame she just offered, you do not treat every opinion as a test you must pass. In Girls Chase it sits next to teasing and qualification — she should meet a person, not a yes-machine.[1]

A shit test is often her challenging you. The house answer is usually agree and amplify or a calm disagreement, not a debate club. Challenging her is the inverse: you have a point of view. That is polarization in miniature.

Failure mode: turning every sentence into a dominance contest. That is incongruent if you are actually rattled, and boring if you are not.
