Pawning is 2000s jargon for using one woman's attention as social proof — or discarding an unwanted conversation — to raise value with another.[1]
This wiki records the word from Wikipedia's pickup-artist article. It does not recommend treating people as chips. Preselection that happens because you actually have a life is a different thing from shoving a stranger at a set as a prop.
