Ross Jeffries (born Paul Jeffrey Ross, 1958 or 1959) is the American pickup instructor Wikipedia and Neil Strauss both call a starting point of the modern commercial scene.[1] Strauss, in The Game, describes him as the "godfather" of the community and a mentor figure to Mystery and himself.[2]

From 1988 he taught workshops and a collection of NLP-based techniques branded Speed Seduction. How to Get the Women You Desire Into Bed appeared in 1991.[1] He coined sarging (going out to meet women, from the military "sarge"). He appeared on US talk shows and on Louis Theroux's Weird Weekends (2000). Paul Thomas Anderson has said Tom Cruise's Frank T.J. Mackey in Magnolia (1999) was loosely inspired by Jeffries.[1]

Method

Speed Seduction claims you can lead a woman's imagination with language patterns rather than with a club routine. Later schools mostly dumped the trance-language. Scientific consensus treats NLP as pseudoscience; this wiki records the claim and does not teach hypnosis-for-sex as a method.[3]

Lewis DePayne, then a student of Jeffries, founded alt.seduction.fast in 1994, which is why the Usenet jargon exists at all.

This wiki keeps a person page and a method page. Technique leads stay with Girls Chase. Jeffries is origin, not house doctrine.
