A lock-in is a physical or social move that keeps you in the set — sitting down, a lock-in prop (a hat on her head, a drink in her hand), turning your body so you are part of the circle. Mystery-era club logistics.[1]
Useful as "stop hovering at the edge of a group." Useless as a trap. People get to leave.
