Grounding is making the interaction real: present, local, about the two of you — not a performance, not a future montage. Girls Chase uses it when the talk has floated into interview or fantasy and needs weight.[1][2]
House reading
House reading: ask where she is actually going, what she did today, what she can do *tonight*. That overlaps logistics and rapport. It is the opposite of a stacked routine that could be run on anyone.
Failure mode: interrogation. Grounding is a few real facts, then back to teasing and leading.
