Canned material is pre-written openers, stories, and routines — the Mystery stack, the Cube, jealous-girlfriend. later pickup literature does not make it the lead. The Newbie assignment is observation and talking, not a stack.[1]
In practice
In practice: a line you actually like is fine. A stack you cannot leave is over-gaming. Natural game was the 2000s revolt against canned. Chase's direct game is the house open once you can say hello.
