The Newbie assignment is a 14-day graded exposure program posted by Chase Amante on the Girls Chase boards (now Skilled Seducer) on 3 November 2012. It is the standard on-ramp for that school: treat dating as deliberate practice, start with observation and body, then talk to strangers, then ask for a number.

Shape of the 14 days
The days are ordered on purpose. Skipping to "ask for numbers" is the usual failure.

| 4–5 | Ice — say "hi" to six strangers; then "how's your day going?" to six more. Hired guns do not count. |
| 6 | Half day / rejection bonus — at least one approach; optional: collect three blowouts on purpose so rejection stops being a dragon. |
| 7 | Direct compliment opener — genuine interest, name, handshake. Four women. |
| 8–9 | Specialty opens — sitting women; mass transit. Logistics, not lines. |
| 10 | "Are you single?" — talk about dating out loud instead of tiptoeing. |
| 11 | Walk — posture plus a deliberate gait (powerful / model / cowboy). Twenty minutes in traffic. |
| 12 | Indirect-direct — after the open: "I thought you were cute and wanted to come meet you." Speak slowly. |
| 13 | Repartee — a little tease, not an insult; then stop being the joker. Light / serious / light. |

Day 15 is "now you have a skill, pick an adventure": girlfriend, pickup, or social circle.
Pedagogy
The assignment is a calibration trainer disguised as homework. Early days have tiny compliance asks so approach anxiety has somewhere to go besides rumination. Later days add intent. Amante's 2013 update added the half-day, genuine-interest, sitting, and transit days after board suggestions.
Forum culture around the assignment: public journals, "most people fail it," inner-game variants, and the standing advice in "where to begin?" threads (2012–) to run this and raise fundamentals rather than wait to be handsome enough to start.
