Approach walls are a bratty or closed first response when you walk up — she acts like she does not want to be approached even when she might. Girls Chase uses this name on purpose. The older ASF word is bitch shield.
Chase's account: it is often armor, not a verdict. Women use it to screen drunk, needy, or socially deaf men. A wall that drops after you stay calm and human is not "she hated you." A wall that stays, with lean-out and IODs, is a no. Calibration is the skill. Pleading, arguing, or punishing her for the wall is the beginner fail.
Mystery-era teaching treated the shield as something a neg punches through. The house school allows a light tease. It does not make punching the default.
