The Mystery Method is Erik von Markovik's stepwise model of club pickup, published in 2007 and popularized by Neil Strauss's The Game. It splits an interaction into attraction, comfort, and seduction (three steps each) and is the source of still-living jargon: DHV, IOI, negging, peacocking, set. The claim: beginners who start at nice conversation with no spark, or jump to touch with no comfort, lose. Later schools kept the diagnostics and threw out the top hat. This page is history and a map, not a 2020s beginner syllabus. A clear no ends the beat. (Full article...)
