Persistence is not ejecting at the first lukewarm beat. Later pickup literature treats calibrated persistence as part of adult courtship: people stall, friends interrupt, attraction flickers. Plowing is the in-scene name for the same motion.[1]

Method

  • Persist on mixed signals and logistics friction: a quiet patch, a friend, "I should go" that is a false time constraint. Change topic, bounce, restart the tease. That is plowing.
  • Stop on a clear no, a freeze, or a boyfriend she is not dropping. Those are screens. Walk.
  • Keep other options so the persist is not hunger. Neediness is persistence with nowhere else to be — she can smell it.

Enthusiastic consent is not a persistence puzzle. Calibrated persistence is courtship. Arguing a no is not.
