Indirect game opens without stating intent: a situational comment, an opinion question, a false time constraint, then attraction work, then the intent is revealed later. It was the club default because walking up to a 3-set and announcing "you're hot" often lost the group.
Cost: some women (and most daygame writers) find the fake question oily once they notice it. Indirect is a tool for noisy group environments, not a moral stance.
