Inner game is the psychological half of pickup: self-image, outcome independence, abundance mentality, managing approach anxiety, killing one-itis. Outer game is the visible half: openers, stories, kino, clothes, logistics.

Schools that say "inner game is everything" still send students outside. Schools that say "just run the routine" still have to treat freeze-ups. The useful split is training: inner game is trained by evidence (approaches survived, options exist), not by affirmations alone.
