Fractionation in pickup jargon is cycling a woman in and out of an intense mood — up, down, up — borrowed from NLP and Speed Seduction and later mystified on the internet as a hypnosis cheat code.[1]
The non-magical residue is push-pull: warmth then challenge. The magical residue is junk. This wiki describes the word. It does not teach trance induction.
Failure mode
Treating a person like a mood yo-yo, or claiming hypnosis. Creep, not game.
