The seduction community is the loose network of forums, blogs, coaches, and students who treat pickup as a skill. It is not a single organization. It has a recognizable jargon, a 1990s–2000s origin story, and a habit of splitting into rival schools that still read each other's field reports. [1]

Historically:
- Usenet: alt.seduction.fast.
- Early web: FastSeduction, SoSuave, the Attraction Forums, mASF.
- Commercial: Mystery's bootcamps, Love Systems, Real Social Dynamics, later daygame companies.
- Editorial: Girls Chase (2008–) is this wiki's gold-standard editorial. Roosh, Krauser, Torero, Heartiste appear as other schools (Heartiste only when the dating claim is the point).
- Forum of record for this encyclopedia: Skilled Seducer (XenForo).
