A demonstration of higher value (DHV) is a story, action, or fact that raises how attractive you seem, as opposed to a demonstration of lower value (DLV) — trying too hard, bragging clumsily, or seeking approval.
Mystery treated some DHVs as long-term and hard to fake. The ones that survived into later schools:
- Pre-selection — other women already want you.
- Leadership / social proof — people listen when you talk; you have a group.
- Competence — you are actually good at something visible.
- Emotional stimulation — she feels something besides "this man listed his job."
A DHV that is a résumé is a DLV. The Attractiveness fundamentals layer (walk, voice, clothes) is passive DHV: you demonstrate value by existing at a higher resolution.
