Calibration is adjusting what you do to the person in front of you instead of running a script. Every pickup school uses the word. It is the skill that makes negging, kino, DHV stories, and direct game either land or crash.

What it is not

It is not "be yourself" and it is not "do more." It is a feedback loop: act, watch the IOI/IOD stream, change amplitude or change move. PUA Lingo described a training hack still used in journals: push a dimension (kino, cocky, talkative) to an extreme, then wind it back until it fits this girl in this venue.

Examples

• She looks at her phone on the open → shorten, add a false time constraint, or leave. Do not tell a longer story.
• She is already touching you → skip the three-IOI wait.
• She is a 6 who is not armored with compliments → a Mystery-style neg reads as mean; tease lighter or not at all.
• Approach anxiety is flooding you → the assignment shrinks the ask ("hi" only) so you can calibrate the nervous system first.
