Jester is Chase's name for the high-effort, low-efficiency phase: you approach a lot, you fail a lot, you look like you are working. It sits between Unknown (you do nothing) and King (low effort, high return). The law of least effort does not let you skip Jester. You learn efficiency by burning effort first.[1][2]
Method
- Expect to look like a jester while you train. That is the Newbie assignment.
- Do not try to skip to King by doing nothing with better clothes. That is still Unknown.
- Cut the parts of Jester that are tryhard (neediness) as soon as you can see them. Keep the volume.
Failure mode
Staying Jester as an identity ('I'm the funny guy'). Or refusing Jester and staying Unknown.
