Seeding is planting a later beat while the current one is still alive: a place you both might go, a joke you will cash in ten minutes from now, "I know a quieter bar two blocks over." Mystery-era time bridge is the same job with a script. Later pickup treats it as logistics in advance — not a clever line, a map.[1][1]
Method
While the beat is still alive, plant a later one you can actually keep:
- A place: "There's a quieter bar two blocks over." Then you can bounce there.
- A time: "Thursday I'm at X." That is a Day 2 seed, not a vague "we should hang out."
- A hook in the conversation you will cash in ten minutes later (a joke, a story). Mystery called the time version a time bridge.
If you seed a venue you cannot reach, you are lying. That is incongruent. See Congruence.
